Dear Mrs Keunen, I am so grateful to have you in my life as my primary school teacher, you were the best sport teacher and always brought energy to your students. Thank you for believing in me when I didn't. You have taught me so much in life and always helped me. Thank you for helping me when my mum had an incident at the school, I really enjoyed helping you and I thank you for comforting me during that time. You had come so far in life and everyone is so proud of you. Your smile always lit up the room, your incredibly talented you helped me become fit in primary school. When I found out you passed I was shocked. I know your now out of pain but you will be in all our hearts. I wish the future students got to see the most beautiful and talented person in the school. I hope your doing well up there and i know you will be watching over your loved ones. I will miss you Mrs Keunen and you will be forevee remembered . No one could ever replace you in the school ever. To Mr Keunen and the kids, I am so sorry for your loss and you're all in our thoughts. - Alkira and Lynn Riley
Anna (Cuz), how many laughs have we had over the years, us loud cousins. Weekend get togethers, catch up's when visiting each other, family occasions. Spending on your mum's credit card! They often turned into loud laughter sessions sharing memories and making more. Our group cousin chats to support each other in good and bad are treasured. Anna you put up a brave fight. Our thoughts with Uncle Garry & Aunty Sue and Ruth. To Chris, Xavier and Hayley - words cannot express the loss you are feeling. Our love and support goes to you all - Julie & Martin
To Anna and her family. Those we love don’t go away. They are still part of us every single day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear. Anna with your beautiful smile and soul. I will miss you. Just like my tuning forks that you used to borrow for Science, I’m sure you are now vibrating on a different frequency. Always in our hearts and minds. Never to be forgotten. Love Jess 🎵 - Jessica Jefferies
Anna Bananna, you were the ultimate “here if you need” girl. If I ever had an idea, however vague, you would be the one who would come back the next day with the project already in place. If I had a problem, you would always come back to me with a solution, whether I was looking for one or not. If I was struggling with something, you would just reappear later and tell me the job was already done. If I was overwhelmed with anything, you wouldn’t tell me, but would always just quietly take something off my plate. Secret is out, but you were my ‘go to’ for any tech issues, at a time when people were coming to me. 😊 The loss of your steadfast support will be felt in every corner of Roseworth for years to come… I appreciate that you shared your family and home with me, and I am forever grateful that I got to bask in the joy that you spread, and in your curiosity and wonder of the world around you. Not sure how, but will do my best to remember that joy with every silly duck I continue to find… (…and just know there are now some certain 80s classic movies that I will never watch the same way again...) - Kaylie Brooker
Anna was so passionate about making things fun for the students and her care for Staff and all around her seemed to have no capacity. Anna was so kind to me. She always asked how I was doing and shared parts of her journey with me. She came up with suggestions on how to make the admin tasks of my role easier and shared always was a listening ear to concerns I had with students. In the last weeks prior to Anna having to leave School she spoke to me about her love for her family, how she so wished she was able to be able to do all the things that she had planned for her students even when some of her days were extraordinarily tough. She never thought of herself more than what she could do to be there for others and make their days brighter. It was a privilege to walk alongside Anna every day but particularly in what neither of us realised was her last weeks at School. She spoke of Chris and the Kids and her plans for her classes, she had plans! Her love and care and her determination to keep going. I am so very sad that her body let her down and it was not able to contain her enormous heart any longer. My thoughts are with her family and friends. May her light always shine in you. May you always carry her spark and love with you always. - Tammy
Miss Martin, Thank you for being the most incredible teacher. I will cherish the memories I made in your class forever. I talk about them with my own children, and how you were the most amazing teacher. You made a difference to so many lives. Rest peacefully. From a student in your first ever class 🩷 - Former student
Anna, I walked into the Science room this week and reflected on your energy and passion and joy and how lucky I have been to know you and watch you pass that onto the Roseworth kids and staff. You were such an inspiration. I will miss our conversations and I smile thinking about the exasperated looks we used to share sometimes! I'll never forget when you showed me the lightbulb shaped paper clips you were using and if you turned the page over they looked like a certain appendage - you had the cheekiest smile about it and we laughed and laughed wondering if anyone else would notice.
I'm so glad I told you about this little baby that's coming - you told me you loved your pregnancies and I could tell by how sweetly you spoke of your family just how much you loved them.
I remember you earlier in the year telling the kids that matter can't be created or destroyed, and I like to think that means you got a bit of a headstart on us in exploring the universe. Thank you for being such a light in all our lives, you'll be so deeply missed. Rest easy friend xx - Katherine
I have incredibly fond memories of Anna and her beautiful family after meeting them at the West Perth Football Club ❤️💙 My Mum Carol was a devoted supporter at the club, and enjoyed countless games watching ‘her’ boys with Anna and the kids, whilst Chris played. She was such a bright, shining light in every room, always smiling and always thinking of others. Mums time spent with Anna and the kids was treasured by Mum. Scott, Challis, my Dad and our kids all send Annas family our most sincere condolences ❤️ May Anna rest now with the angels. We are thinking of you all, if there is anything we can do when we’re home please let us know ❤️😘❤️😘❤️😘❤️😘❤️😘❤️😘 - Sascha Fletcher
Anna was one of my primary school teachers at Roseworth. A very beautiful woman, wise beyond her years and would always have time for a chat. She never failed to make each student feel included. She always, without fail, put everyone before her and showed up every day with a smile on her face. Not only was she a good teacher, she was an amazing person in general. She taught me, my older sister and my younger siblings as well. I’d come to pick up or drop off my siblings after I graduated, she’d always run and hug me, asking me how I’ve been and never failed to tell me how proud she was. My deepest condolences go to her husband, children and family. Rest in love Anna.❤️ - Tara Nolan
From the first day I started at Roseworth you made me feel like I belonged. You always took the time to check in, make sure I was okay and made everyone around you feel welcome. What started as colleagues quickly grew into a beautiful friendship, made even more special by the fact that our girls were the same age. When I was going through some tough times in my life, you didn't hesitate to offer a place to stay. You checked on me constantly and reminded me that I was never alone. That was just who you were Anna, selfless, compassionate, and always putting others before yourself. Even when you were the one facing the toughest battles in hospital, you were still checking in. That says everything about the incredible person you were. I loved working alongside you and learning from you. You shared your knowledge so generously, never with judgment, only with kindness and encouragement. You had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and capable. Your impact reached far beyond the classroom. I'll always smile when I think of you asking, "But why?"(with your button the students loved) and encouraging the children to think more deeply about the world around them. You inspired curiosity, confidence, and kindness in so many young lives. You were one of the most genuine, beautiful souls I have had the privilege of knowing. Your kindness wasn't something you turned on it was simply who you were. You loved deeply, gave endlessly, and made the people around you feel valued just by being themselves. You allowed me to be completely myself and I will always treasure our conversations, the laughter we shared, and hearing you speak so proudly about your beautiful family. I will never understand why God called you home so soon. There was still so much life left for you to live, so many memories still to make and so many people who needed your light. I know that the love you poured into this world will never leave it. It lives on in your beautiful children, your family and in everyone whose lives you touched and in the countless acts of kindness you left behind. Thank you for your friendship, your love and your kindness. It was an honour to know you and work alongside you. Rest peacefully my beautiful friend. You will never be forgotten - 🕊️ Jem 🤍
You will be so very missed by so many people . Not just Chris and you wonderful kids but past class mates and all of the children you have taught over your many years as a teacher You will leave a very big hole it the heats of so many . You smiled and fought till the very last day . Rest easy Anna - Jarrod Gercovich
Oh Anna thank you for being you! Your beautiful energy could always brighten my day. Thank you for always being willing to help and open for a chat. You will truly be missed. - Kirra Hearts
You stood by and held me up throughout. I will always appreciate your steadfast support. You are the only person I will wear purple for… EVER. RIP ❤️- Michelle Richards
Our dearest Anna, Many years of memories spent together at Roseworth but these last ones of this shared battle we have, really gave us some real and raw conversations, a few tears, more laughs and a mutual love that we shared for each other's strength. You inspire me, you helped me more than you'll ever know. Rest peacefully beautiful 💜 - Kristi Lenson
For me, Anna was a loving and passionate mum with whom I shared classroom chats, sports carnivals and team events together with our kids. Anna was always encouraging others around her to do their best and had such joy in cheering others on. Anna was also very intuitive and gave me the support, at a particular time, in need. While I didn’t ask for it, she knew what I needed and that memory has stuck with me years later. Hayley and Xavier are blessed to have such a wonderful mum that will continue to guide them through life and Chris, a best friend to treasure. Much love x - Linda Withnell
Oh Anna, you are an amazing person! I am grateful to have met you. From when I first started at Roseworth Primary School you had my back and even to now you still had my back. If I needed help or advice you were my go to person because you had all the right things to say and do to help in any situation. Anna I will miss our chats & I’ll miss you and your smiling face. From work colleagues to a beautiful friendship I will never forget the memories we have shared together. Thankyou for checking in on making sure everything was ok, thankyou for our beautiful friendship, thankyou for all our chats we shared. I will miss you Anna 😭 Rest Peacefully My Beautiful Friend, You Will Never Be Forgotten 🤍 🕊️ - Amanda Muzzarelli
Anna, I did not know you well but your presence at the West Perth Football Club ❤️💙 made the club a better place. You always had a smile, a kind word, and an observant eye on the game. Your love of, and, for Chris and then your children was palpable and special. Thank you for being you. - Jane Siddall
Mrs keunan. There’s are times in life where you do so many things in life and only remember some of it. You were the biggest part of mine and the kids lives, you shared so much love, support, light, laughter and care into our lives you are truly remarkable. You always knew how to help us and what advice to give us. If it wasn’t for you we wouldn’t be the people we are today. We are so truly grateful to have had someone as special as you in our lives. I promise to look out for the kids like u did with us. Right from the moment u became my teacher in primary school you were always there for me. You weren’t just a teacher not a friend not family but something way more that someone who had so much impact in my life there was no name I could put on it. We will miss you forever Anna I will never forget u telling me to stop calling u mrs keunen. We love you always Anna you are forever missed fly as high as you possibly can ❤️- Imogen
Anna, It is impossible to put into words what you meant to so many of us. You were one of the most inspiring, caring and genuine people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. As a teacher, you gave your whole heart to every child who walked through your classroom. The children adored you because they knew they were safe, valued and deeply loved in your care. For me, you were so much more than a colleague. Whenever I needed support, you were the person I sought out. Whether it was tech support when I couldn't work something out, advice about anything, leadership guidance, encouragement, or simply someone to listen, you were always there. You somehow knew exactly what people needed and gave it so freely. You celebrated my happiest moments with me and stood beside me through my hardest ones. Your friendship, kindness, energy and unwavering support made even the toughest days feel lighter. Your legacy is not the headlines or the titles attached to your name. Your legacy lives in the countless children whose lives you changed, the colleagues you inspired, and the friends who were lucky enough to be loved by you. I will miss your smile, your laughter, your wisdom and your enormous heart more than words can say. Thank you for everything you gave to me and to everyone at Roseworth. I will never forget you, and I will carry your friendship with me always. I will love and miss you forever. - Kate Kriskovich
I did not know Anna very well but I was friends with her daughter Hayley. From what Hayley had told me Anna seemed like an amazing person always making people happy and making everyones life way more amazing! Hayley told me the thing she missed about her mum the most was her laugh!🩷So I'm thinking of the Keunen family through this hard time.🩷❤️ - Scarlett-Rose
"Grief is love's souvenir." We will miss you more than words can say, but it has been a privilege to have loved you. You had a way of lighting up every room you walked into, laughing a little louder than everyone else, and making those around you feel seen, supported, and loved. Your kindness, strength, and beautiful spirit will stay with us always. You will forever be missed and forever be loved. - Sarah, Andries and Lucas
Anna, you were one of a kind. There just aren’t enough words to describe what an amazing, beautiful woman you were. I’m so sad I won’t get to see your beautiful face anymore, but I’m also happy that I got to know you & laugh with you, and just know that you will be missed forever.
Your babies & Chris are surrounded with love. Rest easy beautiful xx - Michelle Thomas
My beautiful Anna, I remember meeting you and Chris just after your’ll arrived in Perth and entering Currambine Primary School. I’m proud to say I was the first person you met and the love and friendship started. We’ve made so many wonderful memories over the years - including the journey made to Melbourne for your amazing wedding, the birth of those beautiful children whom I promise to be there always for love, support, sausage rolls and fudge! I will always remember the footy get togethers; both WAFL, and AFL games watched at my place, you know all I’m referring to! My darling friend, you have been taken far too soon from your family and the huge cohort of friends, but you, your personality, loving nature and beautifulness will never be forgotten. My sons have nothing but love and admiration for you, always have as young kids when they met you and Chris and now as adults who will continue the loving friendship with Chris, Xavier and Hayley. To say you are missed is such an understatement. A massive hole has been left in our hearts but you can be sure you will never be forgotten and I for one look forward to watching your precious family grow in strength and seeing your many traits coming out in them. I love you to the moon and back Anna. - Ces
Anna you were one in a million. You were a pioneer, a leader, a champion for those less fortunate than yourself, the biggest advocate and the greatest comrade. To know you was to know humility, joy, love, humour, honesty and compassion. The world could not have lost a better a person! I will never forget the kindness you shared at Roseworth Primary School. You took me, and every other graduate, under your wing. You were always there when I needed a sounding board or juts someone to laugh about the day with. You truly changed the lives of so many students, always going above and beyond. I believe your legacy will carry on in the way you made them feel and how they carry themselves through life because of the belief you had in them. You will be missed by so many! Thank you for being you. So warm and wonderful xx - Abbie Bailey
So many shared loves of 'things'... food, drinks, education, movies, situations, sport, colour, life... we became friends while working alongside each other at Year 7 camps and my admiration for you as a person and teacher grew from there. You were so invested, so determined to give our kids the best education and school life to maybe help hem forget the one they had to live outside our gates.
If I asked for help, personally or professionally it was always "of course, what do you need?"
You saw the good side in everybody, with a ready (and beautiful) smile and the ability to bring calm and comfort... as well as fun and chaos! 😁
You shared your home, and we always love being there. Your family trusted us to care for it and your gorgeous Scarlett in your absence. Your house is truly a 'home', the heart of you and that will never change. Your kids are amazing Anna, an absolute credit to you and Chris as parents. We'll do our best to help Chris care for them, be there when they need us whatever it is, I promise.
Thank you for your precious friendship Anna. For all the laughs, tears, care, concern, encouragement and moments of FFS (the first sign I ever taught you). You said to Kaylie recently, after she found yet another duck you'd hidden, that finding them around school will be your legacy... sort of, but not quite babe. Your legacy will be the reason you hid them in the first place... to spark joy, show your love, involve your family in something that helps others and help us all acknowledge that who we are and what we do is worthwhile but we can some fun while we do it 💝
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... it's a duck... but not anymore, it's Anna 🥹
Rest in Peace beautiful, precious lady, I'll miss you so very much 💕 - Danielle Reeves
When I started teaching at Roseworth 15 years ago, you walked across the wet area and said ‘I’m right across here if you ever need anything.’ From that moment our friendship began, bonded by a similar time in our life of starting a family and shared hobbies & interests. We tagged in and out of maternity leave with each other for several years and finally tandem taught in 2020. We moved into specialist teaching roles together and you were always there if I needed to vent, laugh, cry or required technology support - which was often!! We supported each other in crazy school project ideas, combining art & science. You always made me a better teacher, inspiring me to think outside of the box to provide better opportunities for students. Beyond the classroom you were my friend and that is what I already miss the most. All the little things that mount up to the most important thing of all - true friendship. 💜 You fought a brave fight, forever positive and still always thinking of everyone else around you. I am so glad I was able to give you one final hug, although I never imaged that it would be goodbye. Your passion and love for life, teaching, your beautiful family and friends will never be forgotten. I know you will watch over us all and guide us to be the best and of course keep us curious about life and always challenge what is presented to us with that question you loved the most…. But Why? - Laura Dale
Anna was a beautiful human. We lost a great teacher, friend and mum. Our thoughts are with the Keunen family. All our love - The Moon family
